This song always makes me think of the star. The star is a card of hope and optimism; having faith that better times will come. It’s a great card to see when there’s ill-health, sadness or depression, as it can represent the road to recovery; the light at the end of the tunnel. To me it is a very special card and it sprinkles stardust wherever it goes. I also think of special talents and fame when I see this card which suits Mariah Carey perfectly.

You have to believe in your wish if you want it to come true. Have faith!

The Judgement card represents a time when we must assess the whole picture and take everything into consideration so we can make a well thought out and clear decision. We mustn’t be biased or subjective, instead we have to make a judgement using rationale and clear logical thinking.

The Judgement card brings promise and changes for the better but the catalyst for change is realisation and big decision making. Without making this decision we cannot progress.

This is the downfall of all that is flimsy and false, therefore, the Tower has an element of cleansing. Only that which is of true substance and importance will be left standing.

The Devils represents a state of bondage, we are tied to a certain situation in which we have little or no control. We could feel compelled to stay in a damaging and controlling relationship because we don’t have the strength to break free. Sometimes the Devil manifests as a dependency on alcohol or some other addictive substance. Whatever the weakness is we will be forced to confront a negative aspect of our being and call on our inner strength in order to avoid self-destructive behaiour.

The Death card symbolises endings, the shedding of old skin so we can emerge and embrace a new beginning. Although these endings could be significant, for example, a divorce, a move or a change in career; the essence of this card is not necessarily negative. We need to let go of the old to make room for the new and by letting go of old situations and notions then we allow transition to come to pass.

The Strength card represents the inner strength required to face a challenge. Usually the challenge is with us and not an external force. We may need to muster up willpower and courage to give up something we know isn’t good for us. The battle is often with our head and our hearts.
